Established in 1954, the Clarenbridge Oyster Festival takes place every autumn and gathers a great crowd to sample Galway Bay’s fine offerings.

Bunaithe i 1954, bíonn Féile Oisrí Dhroichead an Chláirín ar siúl san fhómhar agus meallann sí slua mór le blaiseadh a fháil ar a bhfuil ar fáil ó Chuan na Gaillimhe.

 

 

Produced by Gael Linn, Amharc Éireann (A View of Ireland) is Ireland’s first long-running indigenous newsreel series. It was distributed to cinemas throughout the country to promote the Irish language. Between 1956 and 1964, 267 editions of the newsreel were produced for cinema exhibition.
