Winter Sports in Dublin Mountains / Spóirt Gheimhridh i Sléibhte Bhaile Átha Cliath
Amharc Éireann – Eagrán 128
The seasonal school in the Dublin mountains gives skiers a chance to practise before venturing abroad. Even without real snow, the surface is slippery and provides valuable training.
Tugann an scoil shéasúrach i sléibhte Bhaile Átha Cliath deis do sciálaithe cleachtadh a dhéanamh sula dtéann siad thar lear. In ainneoin nach fíorshneachta é, tá an dromchla sleamhain agus tugann sé deis luachmhar traenála.
Produced by Gael Linn, Amharc Éireann (A View of Ireland) is Ireland’s first long-running indigenous newsreel series. It was distributed to cinemas throughout the country to promote the Irish language. Between 1956 and 1964, 267 editions of the newsreel were produced for cinema exhibition.
